Differences between GIMP 1.x and GIMP 2.x

This is not an exhaustive list of the changes, by any means. I only list the differences that I think are relevant to be able to reproduce the effects in GIMP 2.x of the tutorials that I wrote using GIMP 1.x. If you notice any errors or omissions, please point them out to me.
